For me, it came down to three hardtop convertibles... BMW 3 series (335/328), Infiniti G37, and Lexus ISC (350/250). Each one has some strong points but eventually came down to a balance of aesthetics, ride, and (of course) cost.BMW - ride/power are great, but the interior is rather utilitarian, almost plain. Exactly what you'd expect with a German car, but not my style. One great feature that the others lack - you can drop the convertivle top from the outside before you get into the car by using the key fob. As for price, the 335 is expensive. The 328 is cheaper, but still more than Lexus/Infiniti. Since they throw in maintenence free, it comes close. Lacks the cool factor of the other two cars because their hardtop convertible is 3 years old now.Infiniti - overall, may very well be the best of the 3 in my opinion. Great interior, lots of power, has the "cool factor" / new feel, LOTS of bells and whistles (great audio system, navigation is awesome, best of the ones here). Minor thing - I'm sensitive to smells, and for whatever reason, all the Infiniti's I've driven have had some weird smell come out of the vents as soon as you start the air conditioner. My wife has had one for a year and it has never gone away. Nonetheless, I was about to drive off with a G37 convertible, but I didn't because of the price. The G37 and IS350C are comparable in terms of power and price, but I didn't think it was worth the extra money above the Lexus IS250C.Lexus - clearly the IS250C is less powerful than all of the others mentioned above. If you want power, get a 335i convertible (or, if you can afford it, an M3). If you want a good value, get the IS250C. It is certainly cool (even the ads are cool), the interior is great, and power is enough to keep me satisfied. It came down to me realizing that you buy a convertible to enjoy the weather with the top down, not the roar of the engine. I've only had the car for 2 days, but I've put 150 miles on it. The ride is smooth (if you want sporty, go BMW). The seats are very comfortable... This is a personal preference, I like softer cusioning in the seats and smooth leather, but BMW and Infiniti leather are not soft. Thankfully, no funny smell from the vents (see Infiniti above). You can't drop the top from outside the car with the key fob (like you can with BMW), but you can open all the windows that way. My only two gripes - acceleration at low gears is not great (as expected, given the engine) and the sound system may not be loud enough when the top is open (maybe I should've gotten the upgraded sound package).All in all, I think it comes down to a lot of subjective factors (I think the Lexus looks best, the BMW drives best, and the Infiniti has the coolest gadgets), balanced against two objective factors (horsepower and cost). For me, the Lexus IS250 won out and I'm happy with my decision

Ford issued the first official images of Mondeo redesign that will be submitted at the Moscow Show, planned for August. The renovations are almost similar to the aesthetic changes that have affected the S-MAX and Galaxy models, already under restyling of mid-career. In addition to the redesigned front, major innovations are the new front bumper with LED daytime running lights. The same technology was used for the tail lights and is also present in the cockpit, dominated by the renewed central console. The restyled Ford Mondeo will be available in versions 4 and 5-door sedan and wagon. As for engines, debuted the new EcoBoost engines: the 2.2 TDCi 200 bhp and 240 bhp 2.0 petrol power, the latter tied exclusively to the sequential gearbox that allows PowerShift reduce emissions to 179 g / km CO2. The new dual-clutch gearbox is available as standard also confirmed for the 2.0 petrol engine 203 hp and - on request - the 2.0 TDCi 163 bhp engine. Moreover, the supply of diesel engines include even the entry-level 2.0 TDCi 115 bhp. With the redesign of mid-career also expands the list of options for the Ford Mondeo, which now includes the Lane Departure Warning system that indicates the lane change, the device Auto High Beam Control that automatically adjusts the beam and the Driver Alert. Besides this, the new Mondeo inherits other devices already available for S-Max and Galaxy, as the Blind Spot Information System, speed limiter, rear doors with safety locks for children to electrical activation and the camera back. Came online the first detailed information on the account dell'Abarth 695 Tribute Ferrari version (very) special dell'Abarth 500 presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September. Hyundai continues the development of H800, the low cost utility created for the Indian market. When I heard the Royal Enfield Bullet Classic C5 was in our garage and needed a review, I was the first to put my hand in the air. Introduced in 2009, this bike had already made the rounds of most major magazines and I was anxious to throw my leg over one to see for myself if this vintage remake was as fun as most writers touted.
A Bit Of History
It was the early 1950s when India started ordering Royal Enfield Bullets from England to use for police and army vehicles, as they worked fairly well for the English during WWII. The British Enfield Cycle Company was a division of the Royal Small Arms Factory, a weapons manufacturing company that branched out into manufacturing bicycles, stationary engines, lawnmowers and eventually motorcycles - thus the Royal Enfield company was born in 1890.

In 1957 the tooling was sold to Madras to start manufacturing components and by 1962 complete bikes were rolling off the India assembly lines. By 1971 Royal Enfield of England was defunct and the future of their motorcycle brand was now in the very capable hands of the Indian industrialists.

The original 1939 Bullets were single-cylinder 350s and one of the first bikes to implement a swingarm suspension. Sturdy and strong, the Bullet served as an excellent trials machine. It wasn’t long before the 500cc model was introduced and the British bikes were winning numerous races and receiving international recognition, especially from the Indian military.



Vintage-styled motorcycles are becoming a growing segment in the industry; very few manufacturers have a history as rich as Royal Enfield to tap in to.For more than five decades the Indian-made Bullet evolved very little with upwards of 30,000 bikes sold each year. Today, the Bullet Classic 500 EFI still retains the stylish looks and rugged demeanor of its predecessor, including the legacy of the Royal Small Arms Company with the logo of a small cannon and slogan “Made Like A Gun” stamped on every motorcycle.

The Porsche 918 Spyder could be presented in its final form at the Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach, California event to be held in August. The German meanwhile, is preparing to open the short-term acceptance of orders for its future supercar.

Porsche has already received in recent months over 1000 statements of interest for the model, presented as a prototype at the Geneva last March, which was equipped with a 4.3 V8 500 hp (engine derived from the RS Spyder ) and three electric motors, for a total output of 718 hp.

According to reports, not yet official, Porsche had already given the green light to the production car, though according to one source "you are still debating whether to an official announcement, I have not been definitively established production volumes." The new Audi A8 is coming soon with the 3.0 TDI V6 engine from 250 hp and 550 Nm of torque. Compared to the previous generation, the A8 3.0 TDI develops 11 hp more power and 50 Nm more torque. Furthermore, this engine joins the 4.2 TDI V8 350 hp, which ranks as entry-level version of the flagship offering diesel engines in Ingolstadt. Regarding consumption and emissions, the A8 3.0 TDI consumes 6.6 liters of diesel per 100 km and emits 174 g / km of CO2. The new Audi A8 will also soon be equipped with an engine 3.0 TFSI V6 petrol 290 hp, equipped with a supercharger.
For example, start & stop reduces the urban consumption of 12.10% and very obviously depends on traffic conditions. Unless you need the air conditioning or heating, in that case, the engine must be always on and the utility is 0.

The PCX features Honda’s V-Matic automatic transmission, a sizeable storage area capable of hauling a full face helmet, large locking glove box and stylized bodywork reminiscent of the new VFR1200F. Great looks, easy and fun to drive, good breaks, comfortable.
Don't worry about the fact that the PCX is build in Thailand. It has all the qualities of a Honda. All this for a low price.
Only one negative point : the windscreen is inadequate for driving faster than 45 mph.
Its large seat sits at 29.9 inches off the ground but its step-through scooter design will make it easy to climb aboard and the wide floorboards should provide plenty of room for taller riders and a measure of wind protection form its extended bodywork near the rider’s feet. An anti-theft deterrent ignition cover and center stand rounds out the nifty array of features that Honda feels will make the PCX appealing to riders of all experience levels. Price and availability have yet to be announced.

“We’ve enjoyed tremendous success with our line of scooters,” said Powersports Press Manager Bill Savino, “and now along with the 2011 Ruckus we’re introducing the brand-new PCX, a very stylish 125cc scooter that adds even more depth to Honda’s scooter line.”

I think this was a good move on KTM's part. They just grabbed a new share of the market (like Suzuki with the GSXR750), and I think it's a good option for 450 riders too. It's got more power than most ppl need, but has less weight to wear out the rider!
, the 350 SX-F uses a liquid-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine. The piston slides 57.5mm inside the 88.0mm cylinder bore which equates to exactly 349.7cc of combustion volume—placing it right in between that of a 250F and 450F machines. Fuel is compressed to a ratio of 13.5:1, which is the highest measurement of any KTM off-road bike and signifies the potential

Similar to the 250 SX-F, the 350 uses a dual-pump engine lubrication system. It also employs a balance shaft which acts as a water pump and camshaft drive thereby reducing engine vibration while helping to maintain petite engine dimensions. Also shared between models is the Keihin electronic fuel-injection system.
The system makes use of a single fuel injector that sprays into a 42mm throttle body. There is no fast idle or choke/cold-start knob and the system automatically meters fuel/air ratio based on atmospheric conditions. Spent fuel is passed through a stainless-steel header (without a head pipe-mounted external resonator) and a long aluminum muffler.
CHASSIS
The biggest news in the chassis department is the incorporation of a traditional linkage-equipped rear suspension system. That’s right, the Austrian’s finally succumbed to the alleged benefit of a linkage. In fact, it’s now employed it across the entire ’11 SX-F line. The 2-strokes however still retain the direct PDS-style rear suspension as it is claimed to still be superior for that application.
A longer WP gas-charged shock absorber attaches between the redesigned upper frame mount and linkage located below the cast aluminum swingarm (which is also new and is constructed from a single cast of aluminum without welds). Over a foot of rear suspension travel is available. The shock has received some updates including a new piston and bushings to compensate for the greater shock shaft velocity. The shock still retains adjustability for spring preload, high and low-speed compression, and rebound damping.

not that it's not a decent enough bike, but given the changes in the last 20 years or so, I'd like to see something new. just out of curiosity, how was the ninja 250 doing (compared to the recent 250cc class domination) before the refresh? not so well, I'm guessing, as I see recent models on the street 10:1 compared to the last one. same with the ninja 650r (on a smaller scale) at some point a company has to bite the bullet and put a little work into a model to gain, regain, or hold on to a riders interest. even harley has reworked it's motors, styling, features, and frames many times since the virago 250 came out. and in "bigger is better" america, why not bump the displacement just a little to make it more highway capable? it's just a sleeved down 400 motor... Small bikes invite a slagging because, well, they’re small and not terribly exciting. Yet test riding the Star drove home the point that you don’t need pornographic displacement and horsepower numbers to have a good time on the road. The V Star 250 still delivers grins under the helmet and does a fantastic job as an unintimidating, entry-level mount. While it’s not going to turn everyone’s crank, the V Star 250 does what it’s designed to do, and it does it quite well. A single 26mm Mikuni carb feeds fuel to the air-cooled V Star engine, and liberal use of the choke lever, located on the left hand controls, is a must on cold starts. Thumb the electric starter and the 250 manages city streets quite well, once it shakes off its wake-up call. Two-valve heads top cylinders with a 49mm bore by 66mm stroke, the compression ratio an even 10:1. Dyno runs show a modest peak of 18 horsepower and 13.8 lb-ft of torque. So while the Star ain’t going to win many drag races (see sidebar), it does produce manageable, newbie-friendly power.

Lightweight at 327lbs fully-fueled the V Star 250 is quite easy to ride, with a low, inviting 27-inch seat height.
Acceleration is brisk enough to navigate helter-skelter city traffic, with smooth throttle and fueling ensuring the hamfisted newb won’t get frustrated with herky-jerky inputs. The Star’s little motor can rattle up to 55mph without trouble. After that, climbing up to 70-ish and beyond is possible, making it freeway capable in a pinch, but it takes a long time rung out to get around something like a 65mph-bound semi. Daily superslab work is just over its head, in our opinion, at least for carting around our 205 lbs.
