The Citroen DS5 is a “New Crossover" Reviews and Specs

The Citroen DS5 is a “New Crossover

This is another model that has been sort of confirmed by Citroen. Great looking car, bet the production model looks nothing like that.... Hopefully they will also use the diesel/electric hybrid. 200bhp would be niceIt will actually arrive in the market before the DS4. The Citroen DS5 is a “New Crossover”. The interested reader might want to recall what the “New Crossover”, for example. The DS5 is a Citroen Picasso modified for premium appeal in the spirit of the Distinctive Series. Some of its main features can also be found in the new BMW 5-series GT, namely the “lounge” feel: personalized and relaxing luxury in a contemporary design. What does that mean?... I don’t know, I have been reading information from the press-release of the 5-series GT it’s full of crap like this. The Citroen DS5 could hit the market at some point in 2011, part of Citroen's premium DS lineup. PSA Peugeot Citroen has been dabbling in hybrids in recent times. The company showed off the Peugeot Prologue Hymotion4 concept at last year's Paris Motor Show, which led to the announcement of the Peugeot 3008 hybrid. When released -also in 2011- that car will come with a powerful-enough diesel engine up front, and an electric motor mounted at the rear. The two systems will work together to generate nearly 200hp, while running as a four-wheel drive. This diesel/electric pairing would likely be chosen for the DS5. We expect the DS5 to be a family car with a somewhat similar design as the C5. Reports suggest the car will be based on the C-Sportlounge Concept, which debuted at the 2005 Frankfurt show. The DS5 would be a step up in class, and should have some luxury options available as well. AutoExpress is reporting that Citroen would hold off on their launch, allowing parent Peugeot to have the honor of introducing the world's first diesel-electric hybrid. More news should be available soon for the new Citroen DS5 hybrid, and we'll let you know what we find out.Looks very nice but really I doubt it's going to look like that.Anyway.I'm more interested to find out about DS4.If it's a premium C4 - it should look and feel good. cause thats just how things end up. how many cars that make their debut at a show keep their show look after they hit production ? very very few.
