The Fluence uses Valeo LED headlights that are angled according to the steering wheel position. An ingenious aspect of the Fluence's exterior design is its V-shaped rear that gives access to the trunk in an unconventional way; an articulated piston mounted in the centre of the trunklid slides the back up into the roof. The inside of the trunk is upholstered with "Margaux Red" cloth and has a volume of 396 dm³.
In the interior, every seat is fixed to a single rail; the arm-rests on the doors are also fixed to a rail, and are enclosed to the adjustment of the seats. The dashboard is similar to the one of the Renault Talisman. It has a joystick so the driver can access different functions of the vehicle and view them on a retractable LCD screen.
Several brands, including Michelin and Recaro, were involved with the development of the Fluence. For example, Michelin contributed tires with PAX technology (similar to Runflat), BS tooling manufacturated the 22 in aerodynamic alloy wheels, and Recaro developed the seats.
In August 2009, a new mid-size sedan was revealed with the name Fluence. It is based on the Samsung SM3 and will go on sale in 2010. Renault Fluence's chassis delivers an efficient, comfortable and enjoyable ride. The aim of Renault's engineers was to combine steering and handling precision with minimal noise and vibrations. Renault Fluence's front suspension features MacPherson-type struts with rectangular lower arms, while the rear incorporates a programmed-deflection flexible beam. Renault Fluence also benefits from a particularly effective braking system, with large discs that provide both outstanding stopping power and durability.
The electric power steering combines precise driver feedback with quick, accurate response to instructions from the wheel. It is easy to use and feels completely natural.

From launch, and depending on market, Renault Fluence will be available with a wide range of thrifty engines which are all a pleasure to drive.

Fluence benefits from Renault's ongoing efforts to reduce the cost of everyday motoring by between 20 and 30 per cent. For instance, oil-change intervals have been extended to 30,000 kilometres (or every two years) on all diesel models (with the exception of the dCi 85: 20,000km/every year), while climate control systems no longer need to be replenished.

Logan it is a good car which is technically sound and has a solid built quality but when it comes to design, styling and features; it is far behind than its rivals like Ford Fiesta, Swift Dzire, Fiat Linea and Hyundai Verna. It doesn't even stand close to them. Mahindra Renault needs to launch the all new 2010 model of Logan in India with all the latest features if they want to grab some market share in lower mid segment car market. The power train feels indestructible in a way traditional engines did. The gear ratios are suited for commuting and getting in and out of the car is easy and seats are good for three-hour stints. The body structure is extremely stiff for good ride and handling and the use of a current platform also means crash survivability is of the highest order. It has single-piece; square-shaped dashboard is functional at best. The five-speed gearbox fitted contributes to driving pleasure a fair bit. The action is light, it slots into gear easily and it is almost impossible to miss a shift.
Logan Tourer is available in 2 models - one diesel and one petrol. According to Nalin Mehta, CEO, Mahindra-Renault Pvt Ltd, the new Logan Tourer will feature plush interiors and innovative enhancements. Speaking about the company's co-branding with VIP, he said that the idea was to combine the luggage maker's trustworthiness with the Logan's reliability, space and robustness in order to give customers an enhanced package offering. He further said that the new variant adds a whole new dimension of fun and adventure to the Logan's existing value proposition of space, and fuel efficiency.

All the engines are good for economy and the gearbox for ratios but in terms of refinement and power delivery the power train does not excel. Debuts on the new Ford Focus ECOnetic the new system will auto-start-stop Ford. The new version of the ecological model of the Focus now consume only 3.8 l/100 km and emits 99 g / km of CO2 emissions through the adoption of intelligent regenerative charging, Ford Eco Mode and FEAD low voltage. The new Ford system optional auto-start-stop is the version number of the device already seen the prototype MAX Ford iosis presented to the Geneva Motor Show 2009. Even without the presence of this option, the Focus ECOnetic is equipped with a regenerative charging system and smart FEAD (Front End Accessory Drive, Front auxiliary transmission) with a low voltage. The diesel engine is the proven Ford Duratorq TDCi 1.6-liter and 109 hp with oxidation catalyst with particulate filter as standard. The new Focus ECOnetic is the first production car with Ford Eco Mode, a new information system that teaches the driver to actually improve the real saving of fuel, with obvious advantages for the client portfolio and the environment. Ford Start & Stop system: The new Focus ECOnetic 5-door is the first European Ford to offer the new auto-start-stop system, which combines the technology of automatic shutdown of the engine start-stop with regenerative charging intelligent and advanced battery management. The auto-start-stop Ford stops the engine automatically when the vehicle is inactive, for example, stopped at a traffic light and restarts the engine when the driver wishes to leave, saving the fuel wasted when the vehicle is in motion. This system can reduce fuel consumption and emissions of CO2 up to 5% in mixed driving conditions. In cities and in situations of heavy traffic with frequent stops of the vehicle, the savings can go up to 10%. Ford's new advanced auto-start-stop has been carefully designed to offer guests maximum comfort and smoothness, and reliability in the stages of stopping and starting, which occur in a silent and imperceptible, without any need to change the style of guide. When the engine turns off, the electronic control unit immediately prepare the systems of the engine to restart instantly. An integrated system of sensors then enters into operation when the driver takes an action that signals its intention to leave, such as the release of the brake pedal or the pressure of the accelerator or clutch pedal. Once the driver is preparing to start, the engine starts silently and almost instantaneous. To switch are sufficient around 0.3 seconds. The process is almost imperceptible and takes place before the completion of the choice of gear. To support the increased number of ignition, the starter has been updated with an electrical high-performance and a more robust mechanism of grafting of the rack with low noise levels. In addition, we have introduced a technology to recharge the main battery to ensure that the vehicle is able to handle the frequent loading and unloading cycles, the start-stop procedure entails. Technology FEAD low voltage Ford ECOnetic The approach has always been essential purpose of the monitoring of potential causes of friction and identification of innovative solutions that enable a more efficient system. Renault Samsung, South Korean house created as a joint venture between Renault and Asian multinational technology, today unveiled its new SM5 sedan, sales of which will begin next January through the 192 dealers in the group. Based on the current Renault Laguna, Nissan Motor mounts a 2-liter with a six-speed automatic transmission. There is also a variant with turbo engine.Developed in the course of 36 months and cost about $ 340 million to the company, will be one of the ranges where Renault Samsung will focus more on its international spread. Toyota will showcase its all-new small car for India which will be revealed at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo next month and will carry a name Etios codenamed as EFC (for Economical Family Car).
Toyota Etios a small hatch will also be sole in Russia, South America and other emerging countries. Etios means “the origin of”.
The new Entry Family concept car is expected to be 90 percent same to the production version that will be on sale end of 2010.But from the ad it is clear that it is not a hatchback and will be a sedan. Maybe the Etios will be launched as a sedan and after that the hatchback version will be launched by end 2010.
Toyota has squeezed out costs of manufacturing Etios wherever possible to make it price-competitive in India and has made it stand at par with Maruti Swift. Etios will be come with two engine options - a 1.4-liter diesel that powers the Yaris and a 1.2- or 1.3-liter gasoline unit. Toyota also has 1.3L petrol engine (K3 series) but has not made it clear whether it will be downsized to 1.2L to meet the small car regulation norms to save on excise duty. Toyota will manufacture about 70,000 units of the Etios per annum, to begin with, and will aim for a 10% market share in the Indian small cars segment by end-2010. Up to 70% of the India-spec Etios components will be locally sourced, which will allow Toyota to price the car competitively. The Toyota Etios will compete with the likes of Maruti’s swift along with other premium hatchback cars in India like Fiat’s Punto, Hyundai’s i20 and Skoda Fabia. While official prices have not been announced, the Etios is expected to cost Rs 4.5-5.5 lakhs. More details, pictures, exact specifications and photos of Toyota Etios after the official launch. The luxury doesn’t detract from the fun though. The new XK is fantastic to drive. It’s weight makes is light and responsive through the steering wheel and the new engines are fantastic and work in harmony with your right foot through a much-improved gearbox. We’re used now to smooth and fast gearshifts with the number of double-clutch affairs that have sprung up recently. The XK’s box is a traditional auto, but one of the best I’ve ever used. It’s quick to respond to your demands when shifting manually, using the wheel-mounted paddles, and the change itself is lightning fast.Much of this theory can be applied to the 2010 Jaguar XK, but there’s an important difference – as well as the cosmetic retouches, Jag has brought out a brand new, homegrown engine with more power and better fuel economy than its predecessor.
So, gone is the 4.2-litre V8 and in comes a brand new 5.0-litre V8 lump, putting out 385bhp – an increase of 26% over the outgoing model.
The hot XK-R sees a supercharger strapped to the new unit, to produce a stonking 510bhp – up 23% on the old R. New 2010 Jaguar XK : Road Test, Reviews and Specification
Additionally, the 2010 XK gets the JaguarDrive Selector – the controversial transmission control from the XF, consisting of a milled aluminium dial that rises slowly from the centre console when you start the engine, like a monster from a shiny wooden lagoon.
Outside, the design remains completely recognisable, but with some nice tweaks, the most obvious being the front-end treatment. Stand the 2010 XK next to the previous version, and you’ll notice a new bumper and some funky looking LED rear light clusters that look particularly cool at night, as well as a revised back bumper. The wing mirrors are also new, housing LED side repeaters. The trademark side vents remain, and are joined by chrome-surrounded vents on the front bumper. More chrome is splashed around the windows too.
The top-of-the-range XK Portfolio that we drove comes with heated and cooled front seats, which will be good for the Arabian summer and help reduce flesh-leather sticking incidents. Ours was a convertible, with a (weight-saving) fabric that folds down in a few seconds.
These are all new little sugar pieces on the giant cake that is the original XK. As a reminder, it’s a 2+2 sports coupe (or a convertible) – Jag has made a token effort at back seats, but they’re completely unusable for anyone with legs. Or a head.
The car is built on an aluminium structure, which makes it light, aiding performance, handling and fuel economy.
The interior is all leather and real wood veneers, with plenty of luxury to the atmosphere – don’t let the high horsepower numbers fool you into thinking that this is a hardcore sports car. There’s more than just an element of grand tourer to the XK.

Normally any manufacturer does a near simultaneous launch in the region. So if the UAE launch is expected in November, one can safely assume that other GCC markets will also get the 2010 Prado around the same time. refreshed version of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has been snapped at a dealer’s stock yard in the Middle East and will be officially unveiled in the region in the next couple of months.
The 2010 Prado seems to be based on the current Prado’s platform and would thus have similar performance and off-road ability.
The big SUV has received an important botox shot and appears fresher thanks to a reshaped facade, swoop back headlamps, new tail lamps, a big integrated sidestep, new alloys and more pronounced body panels. The new Prado is expected to feature the current models engine range with the possible addition of a 4.6 litre V8 motor in the Lexus variant.

Even from toyota itself I like the FJ's design but thts the only one. anything else I see just seems to prove Toyota cares less about anything
else, now that they have the popularity and resale value. ANd for Kia and hyundai, I give extra info about them rather than actually praise them (I do have issues with some of their designs) but i do see them rising really fast (altho thts not at all apparent in places outside Europe and US). And no I dont work for Kia or Hyundai. Just closely following them. and just in case you'd wanna know, I'm more of a lambo fan.

2010 Ninja 250R is the best looking 250cc sports bike in its segment. The Corolla Altis is for all practical purposes & a no-risk choice for a compact luxury sedan. It is consistently reliable and inexpensive to operate. It has fully met my expectations. It is simply the best looking crossover SUV on the market today. I recently took the SRX on a trip of over 200 miles and it performed fantastically at highway speeds. It could stand some improvement at low start-up speeds, but that is only as compared to the Lexus and Acura. Inside, the luxury fully met my expectations in every respect. In that category, it is much better than higher priced crossover SUV'sUpon introduction, the Base is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, V6, 265-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway. The AWD Turbo Premium Collection is equipped with a standard 2.8-liter, V6, 300-horsepower engine. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. The 2010 SRX is restyled for 2010. Beautiful automobile, but I did not buy this car because when you need acceleration...it's not there. Fuel economy is the same as other crossovers that have bigger, more powerful engines. I didn't have the time to wait for the turbo model to come out.

It included leather ,air ,power ; windows, door locks and a perky Automatic Trans.In addition I have cruise control and I year of free On-star. To make the deal even sweeter I traded in a 1999 Chevy Suv and qualified for the clunker program. In addition the dealer gave me over $2,500 in rebates plus I had over a $2,600 credit from my GM credit card. When all the discounts were applied I left the dealer with a $18,000 car for about $8000 plus tax and title. I expect to keep the car for 5 years so I will purchase the extended bumper to bumper warrentee making this car a sure bet for 5 years. The 2009 G3 is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, available in one trim only, the Base. Upon introduction,the G3 is equipped with a standard 1.6-liter, I4, 106-horsepower engine that achieves 27-mpg in the city and 34-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. This car tends to be very enjoyable for the front seat rider and driver, maybe not so much for the back seat passenger. There is a single cup holder available to the back seat passengers, but room in the back is very limited for them. If you go on a long trip, the back seat passengers will be taking a lot of "stretch out" breaks. The back seat is suitable for smaller/younger children. Anything other than that, you will be pulling the front seats way up to make room then everyone is uncomfortable. This is not so much of an issue for me, it is rare for me to have more than one passenger in the car with me.

Looks absolutely amazing. God I love this car. Looks like Jaaaag is really coming back to life. They reported profit this year. To bad they're closing down the factory in UK. The three choice engines are the 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 with 283kW (385hp) and maximum torque of 515Nm. The same but supercharged engine dispersing 346kW (470hp) and peak torque of 575Nm is the mid-range model while the top of the pack will be the 375kW (510hp), 625Nm motor. All three are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Trim levels will be the XJ, XJL, Supercharged and Supersport. Depending on the spec which customers can play around with on the Jaguar XJ configurator website, the cars can be fitted with aids like Adaptive Dynamics (continuously variable damping), Active Differential Control and Sequential Shift System for manual gear selection. Inside goodies include a 1200W Bowers & Wilkins system, an 8-inch touch screen, USB ports, Bluetooth audio streaming and an auxiliary input.I think the previous XJ did have something special about it. The problem is that they were not attracting new customers with it. Only a small few really like the car like myself. I like the new one as well!Great looking car, if you just see it's front end and side profile... But that rear! Oh my God, that's awfull!!! It looks like a chinese car... And that's no good at all... For me, I just wanted an XF with this XJ's front, wich is absolutely gorgeous! However I think they could have used some styling cues from the previous model to really set it apart from the competition. That's just me but hey everyone has their own opinion.

Recently there's a lot of BMW's mid-engined concept car, lets hope they're serious building one. Their Frankfurt concept car was brilliant but needed to tone down a little bit. That might scare the Audi R8 or the Porsche 911. It's about time BMW should launch a supercar Mercedes has the SLS, Audi the R8, Lexus the LFA, etc. I think people would buy a supercar made by BMW, especially with the looks of this concept and the sport heritage of this brand. BMW first put the M1 on the market in 1978. BMW's only mid-engine car produced on a large scale was actually built by Lamborghini. It used six-cylinder twin-cam engine that produced 273 horsepower, but turbocharged racing versions generated 850 hp. The production car was capable of a 160mph top speed. The car is expected to a mid-engine design and could potentially be powered by a reworked version of the company’s 3.0 liter engine, instead of the big V8s and V10s of today's BMW M cars. Being a green car means that it would be equipped with fuel saving technologies such as direct injection, brake regeneration and a stop / start system. According to one source the new supercar would have the fuel economy and CO2 emissions of a mid-range 5 series
The M1 coming to Dubai is also a mid-engined car with rear window louvers, but it has a body that is larger in all directions. However, do not take this as an indication that the car will come to market. BMW is still playing coy, and says the car is only to celebrate the company's heritage.
While i think this car would be an incredible car andNew BMW M1 Concept 2010 a car that would put a great company like BMW an even bigger icon on the "map" i don't think MadeInGermany is right that it would completely make all other cars "rubbish" or crap as we say here. It would be a hell of a car but not some kind of wonder car built by God himself.
In any event, BMW should make this, they could use this type of very high end Halo/supercar. It looks great and it looks like a BMW most importantly.

The two systems will work together to generate nearly 200hp, while running as a four-wheel drive. This diesel/electric pairing would likely be chosen for the DS5. We expect the DS5 to be a family car with a somewhat similar design as the C5. Reports suggest the car will be based on the C-Sportlounge Concept, which debuted at the 2005 Frankfurt show. The DS5 would be a step up in class, and should have some luxury options available as well. AutoExpress is reporting that Citroen would hold off on their launch, allowing parent Peugeot to have the honor of introducing the world's first diesel-electric hybrid. More news should be available soon for the new Citroen DS5 hybrid, and we'll let you know what we find out.Looks very nice but really I doubt it's going to look like that.Anyway.I'm more interested to find out about DS4.If it's a premium C4 - it should look and feel good. cause thats just how things end up. how many cars that make their debut at a show keep their show look after they hit production ? very very few.

2010 Nissan Qashqai Facelift: Reviews and Specs




I like this front end. It would be nice to adopt this to US Nissans. Even if they won't bring this car to America, the design language is sound and it would offer world-wide recognition for the brand. Nissan Qashqai in spring 2010. Changes have been effected not just outside and inside, but also beneath the skin. Minimum prices will be £15,395 for the 1.6-litre Visia 2WD manual going all the way up to £25,745 for the Tekna 2.0 dCi AWD automatic and £26,845 for the Qashqai+2 Tekna 2.0 dCi AWD auto.
Alterations made to the exterior include a new front bumper, a revised front grille, an all-new bonnet, and upgraded headlights. The front end shares its design elements with the Qashqai+2. Two new colours have been added; Magnetic Red and Mineral Grey. The rear lights are largely the same but now feature a more transparent lens look. Brake and taillights use LED technology. An additional two alloy wheel styles measuring 16-inch and 17-inch were added. The suspension has been further tuned for better ride quality and handling.
Nissan redesigned the main interior dials by giving them added clarity. The white LCD screen is geared to show lots of information such as time, cruise control, average fuel consumption and the speed limiter. Storage spaces were increased to include a new cubby hole at the base of the central cluster. Two-wheel drive models even have space for plastic cards where AWD models would have the ALL MODE selector.
Some unspecified weight reductions were implemented as well as aerodynamic improvements that help the 1.5 dCi model drive down its C02 emissions from 137 to 129g/km.better yes, but great to develop a design in a complete different way. so the owner of the older version have a unique and timeless car

It is easily the best long distance cruiser in the world right now for four adults. My dad just got one (previously owned a 2002 S55 AMG) and the car is just incredible. There is no need for the S63 AMG, unless you want to show off. The S550 has more than enough grunt and is every bit as luxurious as the other models without being showy. The seats that hug you are a particularly nice touch. I love the panoramic sunroof, the rear seat controls, the tv's in the back, and all the other electronic gadgets. Some are pointless, I don't like the nightvision. It seems distracting and a waste of money. The Driver's Assistance Package is OK, but a bit overkill. But besides all the technology, you have to admire the QUALITY of the car. The leather is thick and will last a lifetime, the whole body of the car is rock solid. Everything is soft to the touch, there are no gaps, the wood is just beautiful, the trunk is HUGE, the S Class is the perfect sedan. I can't think of a better sedan out there. The cabin is silent and buttery smoothe. The only close competitors I can think of is the Audi A8 and the new Jaguar XJ. I haven't riden/driven the XJ yet. But the Audi is also an extremely classy luxurious sporty ultra sedan. But the suspension is not QUITE as smoothe as the Merc. The BMW 7 Series is too harsh, the Lexus LS is too soft. The Mercedes Benz S Class is the best of the best in the automotive world. Green metallic paint on cashmere leather makes a striking combination by the way

The Current Beetle has always been known as the "New Beetle" (as opposed to the Old Aircooled Model) and this is the last version of that model before the next Generation(and hopefully much better) model arrives. It has lasted a fair while though so it must be considered a success . Weird Dud Drive However and soooo Girly.I hope they can succeed this with an update up to the standard of the Mini Cooper. If not then they should just let it rest. This iteration was just lame. A 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder petrol engine that produces 150 horsepower is pretty much lergatic. I hope the next Beetle is not as gay or girly as the current car or just a mere fashion accessory .Meant to highlight the end of the current Beetle, the Final Editions boast an exclusive Aquarius Blue paint job, 17-inch alloy wheels, a sport suspension, special badging, and an individually numbered steering wheel.
In terms of performance, the Final Editions are equipped with a 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder petrol engine that produces 150 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque.
