The new Mazda RX-7 (also could be called RX-9) should arrive by 2013 and, according to rumors, will keep the legendary Renesis rotary engine designed by Felix Wankel, made famous by the legendary 787B racing. The real innovation for the new RX, which we propose a rendering, could be the adoption of a system using turbo electric supercharger (that is, electrically powered compressor and not activated by the flow of exhaust gases). This should ensure the car more efficient operation and torque values much higher, the real weaknesses of the RX-8, to the benefit of fuel consumption and emissions.
The design of the car could be consistent with the style of "Nagare" inspired by nature (especially the wind and flowing water), this design language has proved successful on the latest creations Mazda straddling 2006 and 2007. However, the Japanese company has unveiled that the next concept cars and production cars (like the new 5) will be made following a new wave style. The same could influence the design of promising new RX.
